In Mahahaul (pronounced mahawahl,) a half mile from Costa Maya; "From the lighthouse down to Tequila Beach," a boat captain told Michael that he would find the most spectacular sections of the Mayan Reef. "Hurricane Dean tore things up a couple of years ago but things should be pretty good down there."
